1. Overview

AutoSQR is operated from Melbourne, Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

We are committed to handling your data responsibly and transparently.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

Email address (used for authentication via magic link). We do not collect passwords, names, phone numbers, or addresses.

Data you upload

Search query reports from Google Ads (CSV files). These may contain search terms, cost data, impression data, click data, and other Google Ads metrics depending on what you include in your export.

Account briefs you create, including business descriptions, product and service lists, competitor names, brand terms, and URLs.

Automatically collected information

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Pages visited and actions taken within the app
  • Job processing metadata (job size, processing duration, category distributions)

Payment information

Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details on our servers. See Stripe's privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the service: Processing your uploads, generating classifications, and caching results for your account.
  • To authenticate you: Sending magic link emails for login.
  • To process payments: Communicating with Stripe to handle credit purchases.
  • To improve the service: Analysing anonymised, aggregated usage data (e.g. average job sizes, classification distributions, error rates). We do not use your specific uploaded data to train AI models.
  • To communicate with you: Service-related emails such as job completion notifications, term changes, and important service updates. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States (Google Cloud Platform). The application frontend is served globally via Vercel's edge network.

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted database connections, and access controls.

Access to user data is restricted to authorised personnel only. We do not guarantee absolute security. No internet-based service can.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.

When you delete a job, the classification results and uploaded data for that job are removed from our system. We retain anonymised metadata for analytics.

When you delete your account, all associated data (briefs, cached classifications, uploaded reports) is deleted. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained.

Cached search term classifications are stored per account and removed when the account is deleted.

6. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate AutoSQR. Data shared with these providers is limited to what is necessary to deliver the service. We select providers that maintain appropriate security standards.

  • Stripe (payment processing): Handles credit purchases. Receives your email address and payment details.
  • Google Cloud Platform (cloud hosting and infrastructure): Hosts the application and stores your data.
  • AI language model providers: Process search terms and account brief content to generate classifications.
  • Search engine data providers: Retrieve search result data for SERP-based verification of ambiguous terms.
  • Transactional email providers: Send magic link and service notification emails using your email address.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use the following cookies and tracking technologies:

Essential cookies: Required for authentication and session management. These cannot be disabled.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics GA4): We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use AutoSQR, including pages visited, time on site, and general usage patterns. Google Analytics collects data anonymously and does not identify you personally. For visitors in the EU/EEA, UK, and Brazil, analytics cookies are only loaded after you give consent via our cookie banner. For visitors in other regions, analytics cookies are loaded by default. Advertising cookies (Reddit Pixel): We use the Reddit conversion pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on Reddit. This pixel may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, and actions taken on our site (e.g. signing up) to help us understand which ads drive results. For visitors in regions where consent is required, advertising cookies are only loaded after consent is given. See Reddit's privacy policy at reddit.com/policies/privacy-policy.

We may introduce additional analytics or advertising cookies in future (e.g. for Google Ads). If introduced, they will be disclosed here and, where required, consent will be obtained before they are set.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct any inaccurate information.
  • Delete your account and associated data.
  • Export your classification results at any time via the export feature.
  • Withdraw consent by closing your account.

9. International Data Transfers

If you are located outside Australia, your data may be transferred to and processed in Australia and the United States, where our service providers operate.

By using AutoSQR, you consent to this transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this policy regardless of where it is processed.

10. Children's Privacy

AutoSQR is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. The latest version will always be available at autosqr.io/privacy.
